Organs on a Chip

Organs-on-a-Chip (ISSN 2666-1020) is an interdisciplinary open access journal dedicated to publishing research and development in the field of organs, tissues and organoids on chips and their application. The journal aims to promote original works on microphysiological systems that demonstrate significant progress beyond the current state-of-the-art in these fields, along with applicability to solve meaningful problems.

Organs-on-a-Chip will publish works that are supported by experimental results, and as such purely theoretical works will not be accepted.

The scope of the journal encompasses, but is not restricted to, the following areas:

  • Novel applications
  • Development and characterization of OOC/TOC platforms
  • Fabrication technology
  • Tissue on a chip
  • Organoid applications on/off chip

Microfluidics and Nanofluidics

Associate Editor

Microfluidics and Nanofluidics (ISSN: 1613-4982 Print, 1613-4990 Online) is an international peer reviewed journal exploring all aspects of microfluidics, nanofluidics, and lab-on-a-chip science and technology. The journal seeks to improve the fundamental understanding of microfluidic and nanofluidic processes, examining the current state of research and development and the latest applications.

This journal broadly interprets microfluidics and nanofluidics as the study of mass (including molecular and colloidal) and momentum transfer, heat transfer, and reactive processes, coupled with transport in microscale and nanoscale systems.

Readers will find reports of original scientific research, techniques, and applications. In addition, the journal publishes brief communications presenting urgent announcements of significant advances or preliminary accounts of new work and topical reviews summarizing accepted practices and reporting progress in selected areas.

Biomedical Microdevices

Associate Editor

Biomedical Microdevices (ISSN: 1387-2176 Print, 1572-8781 Online) covers research in the diagnostic and therapeutic applications of Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems, microfabrication, and nanotechnology.
Topics include design, characterization, testing, modeling and clinical validation of microfabricated systems, and their integration on-chip and in larger functional units. The interests of the journal include systems for neural stimulation and recording; bioseparation technologies such as nanofilters and electrophoretic equipment; miniaturized analytic and DNA identification systems; biosensors; microtechnologies for cell and tissue research; tissue engineering; cell transplantation and the controlled release of drugs and therapeutic proteins. Coverage extends to biochemical modification and non-specific protein adsorption; fluid dynamics in micro- and nano-fabricated channels; electromechanical and structural response of microfabricated systems; interactions of microdevices with cells and tissues, including biocompatibility and biodegradation; and more.

Journal of Sensors and Sensor Systems

Associate Editor

Journal of Sensors and Sensor Systems (JSSS) is an international open-access journal dedicated to science, application, and advancement of sensors and sensors as part of measurement systems. The emphasis is on sensor principles and phenomena, measuring systems, sensor technologies, and applications.

The goal of JSSS is to provide a platform for scientists and professionals in academia – as well as for developers, engineers, and users – to discuss new developments and advancements in sensors and sensor systems.

Scientific Reports

Member of Editorial Board

Scientific Reports (ISSN 2045-2322) publishes original research in all areas of the natural and clinical sciences. We believe that if your research is scientifically valid and technically sound then it deserves to be published and made accessible to the research community. By publishing with us, your research will get the coverage and attention it deserves. Open access and continuous online publication means your work will be published swiftly, ready to be accessed by anyone, anywhere, at any time. Article Level Metrics allow you to follow the conversations your work has started. Each manuscript is handled by an Editorial Board Member, and most submissions are peer reviewed by one or more referees in addition to the Editorial Board Member. The Editorial Board — composed of practising scientists from all fields within the journal’s scope — manages the peer review process, and decides whether a paper should be accepted for publication. The aim of the peer review process is to establish the technical soundness of a submission, and uses a template approach. Referees and Editorial Board Members will determine whether a paper is scientifically valid, rather than making judgements on significance or whether the submission represents a conceptual advance.

Journal of Science: Advanced Materials and Devices

Technologies (ISSN 2227-7080) provides an advanced forum for technological studies to both technology researchers and professionals in related disciplines. It publishes research papers, reviews and communications. Our aim is to encourage scientists to publish their experimental and theoretical results in as much detail as possible. There is no restriction on the length of the papers. Electronic files and software regarding the full details of calculations or experimental procedures, if unable to be published in a normal way, can be deposited as supplementary electronic material.
